That whole adventure in Termina - was that really real? he ponders.
It was- he felt all the pain. All the physical and emotional and mental pain.

He felt everyone else's pain;
The Deku princess's monkey friend mistaken for a monster;
The great Goron hero Darmani, dying in an attempt to save his people, and watching them suffer after death;
The descendant of Zora heroes Mikau, found dying in the sea after an attempt to save the eggs of Lulu, the famed singer who lost her voice;
Pamela, trying to care for her curse father in Ikana canyon, a land haunted by the undead;
Kafei and Anju, the couple meant to wed the day after the carnival, only for the worst to happen;
and Skull Kid, too... he just wanted friends, but ended up almost killing them all.

Link had to witness this all first hand and sort everything out. How scarring must that be? To always be the hero... and still just a kid.

Majora's Mask is freaking deep man. I see that after replaying it. Good game.

The thing that makes me feel sorry for this Link is that despite his heroic deeds in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, the poor guy was never remembered as a hero.

For Ocarina of Time, while people did make conversation about "the Legendary Hero of Time", Link's adventure involved time travel, so as a result, nobody realised he was the real deal. As for Majora's Mask, Termina was in an alternate universe, so naturally, nobody in Hyrule knew about his actions there either.
